All about Photoshop

 

No one can deny that proficiency in Photoshop is necessary for any successful designer.  It is one of the most powerful design tools available for image creation, retouching and editing.  

 

However, Photoshop's uses extend beyond the professional design world.  An individual might use Photoshop to retouch photos before uploading them to a website or social media site.  A retailer might use Photoshop to create a flyer advertising a product or service.  Photoshop is even essential to those working in digital libraries, as they digitize historical photos and try to reconstruct damaged or missing pieces.  Regardless of your profession or interests, being able to effectively use Photoshop is a great skill to have.

 

On the next two pages, you'll see some of the designs I created in Photoshop over the course of this semester.  I went from knowing only how to change the brightness of an image at the beginning of the semester, to being able to use advanced tools and perform complex tasks by the end.
